  1. Drive Walk

    This is my interpretation of “too far to walk. Put in”.

    The first three lines of the second stanza look like a set of instruction telling you where to go. There is a starting point (where warm waters halt), direction (take it in the canyon down), and a distance (not far but too far to walk). If it is to far too walk then Mr. Fenn must have driven this leg of the quest when he hide the treasure. So, Mr. Fenn had to park at some point and walk. The next line says “Put in below the home of Brown.” “Put in” is a nautical term that means to bring a vessel into port. This is where he parked and walk to the hiding place.

    Please bring up this interpretation today.
